​New Year, New You Challenge Follow Up

In order to help you keep your New Year's resolution longer than a few weeks, I challenged you to meditate for at least 10 minutes every day. This was to help you create a deeper connection to ourself. We focused on 5 main category's: Physical, Emotional, Spiritual, Business/Career and Relationships. During our first Mastermind call, we went over what each category means and what goals you desire to achieve. You picked 5 goals that you desire to achieve in 2025. We broke those goals down into small action steps that you can accomplish in the month of January. 

So, did it work? Did meditating 10 minutes everyday help you to create a deeper connection to yourself? Did our support group help you to keep your resolution for longer than a few weeks?

If it did help you, why stop? Just because my challenge is over, doesn't mean that your challenge is over. Keeping a resolution longer than January is a challenge in of itself. Keep meditating. Keep working on your small steps to accomplish your overall resolution. Healthy habits are hard to make, but easy to break. Don't break under the pressure of the world. Keep putting yourself first. You got this.

What is the Spring Equinox?

Scientifically speaking, the Spring Equinox is what the Earth's axis has tilted to be completely parallel to the Sun. The Earth will receive equal day time and night time for both the northern and southern hemispheres. This day typically also marks the first day of Spring. In 2025, the Spring Equinox will occur on March 20th.

​Holistically, the Spring Equinox is the time for rebirth and renewal. Reflecting the winter melting away and the rebirth of flora, the Spring Equinox is a time for us to shed our old habits and put into effect our new goals and celebrate our personal rebirth.

This time period has been said to be the best for setting goals.

Things to do during the Spring Equinox

If you are wondering what are some good things to do during the Spring Equinox are, look no further:
  • Set good and positive intentions for your future
  • Figure out your goals: personal, financial, work related, relationships, spiritually
  • Make plans to achieve your goals
  • Embrace new opportunities that are presented to you or that you have found
  • Clean out your space and start anew: bedroom, work space/desk, car

Did your New Year's resolution end sooner than you wanted? Well guess what, now is the perfect time to restart or start a new goal. The Spring Equinox is right around the corner and when better to start up a goal than when nature is starting up again too. The Spring Equinox is all about rebirth and renewal.

Steps for your renewal

Goals can be large, overwhelming, heavy. Whether it's a personal goal, a work related goal, or a goal revolving around your relationships with your partner, family, or friends, goals can be too big to accomplish and become nothing more than a wish. Here are some tips to help you accomplish your goals:
  • Break the goal down: take that big rock and chisel it down. Start with 1 small step, then add another, and another, and suddenly you are beating that goal.
  • Plan it out: write it down, type it out, use a chart, whatever you need to do. Don't just keep the goal in your head. It has been proven when you write things down and plan out your goals, you are more likely to reach your goal.
  • Meditate everyday: I have found that 10 minutes of meditating everyday can significantly help you to reach your goal.
  • Identify what may stop you: Identifying things that can stop or prevent you from reaching your goal can help you to anticipate those things and actually keep them from stopping you. Don't let things get in your way. Get in their way.
  • Be accountable to yourself: When trying to reach your goals, sometimes you can get in your own way. While it's important to be gentle with ourselves when making and keeping good habits, it's also important to keep yourself accountable. You can do this by keeping a journal, telling a friend, or using a tracking chart or calendar.
